Our Story
The Story Behind the Box
Built by women. Because “self-care” isn’t cutting it.

Why We Built This
Most boxes sell escape. This one sells clarity.
Somehow, we ended up in a world that treats women like projects, always fixing, improving, and telling us what we should be doing.
Becoming Box wasn't created for that.
We saw a generation of women, our generation, holding everything together, navigating change, carrying responsibility, adapting without applause. And still showing up.
Unlike the generations before or after us, our generation is built different. We don't need instructions. We're doing the work.
So we created a box that reflects that. Not a wellness subscription. Not another beauty box. A monthly declaration, themed around a single phrase that speaks to who you already are.
Becoming
What We Stand For
Our Values
Unapologetic
Still caring. Just not explaining. We believe in living boldly without seeking permission or approval.
Steady
Not calm. Just not abandoning the ship. We show up, every day, in all the ways that count.
Intentional
Every item is chosen with purpose. Not to fix you, but to reflect the life you've already built.
Our Belief
This is a fork in the road.
The world will sell you self-care as the answer. We think the better move is deeper.
The kids are older. You know more. Your tolerance for nonsense is lower.
This isn't “starting over.” It's finally choosing on purpose.
You're not late. You're right on time.
There's a version of midlife that fades out quietly. And there's a version that gets clearer, louder, and more yours.
Self-care is often just a softer way to say “try harder.” We're not doing that.
This is the part of life where you stop managing everyone else's comfort and start making your own calls.
Becoming Box exists to keep that decision in front of you—month after month.
Who Built Becoming Box?

Jennifer McGrath
Founder
Why I built this: I hit that time where your body shifts, your confidence waivers, and the outside noise gets louder. Becoming Box is the thing I wish existed, real support, not fluffy self-care.
With 24 years as a real estate broker, I've built my career around delivering a high-touch client experience when the stakes are personal and the emotions are real. For years I was a top-producing broker and built a team known for doing things differently, clear communication, true availability, and steady support from start to finish. Buying a home is one of the biggest decisions people make, and I've always believed the experience should feel guided, protected, and handled with excellence.
I'm 47, navigating perimenopause, and I began GLP-1 support in October 2025. I created Becoming Box after watching women struggle quietly, women on GLP-1 feeling better than they have in years but hiding it out of shame, and women in perimenopause battling changes that can feel relentless. Women doing both are often pulled from both angles at once.
The heart behind Becoming Box is a movement to reclaim your body and your identity—so this isn't a decline, it's a reckoning. It's the moment we stop shrinking, stop apologizing, stop living for everyone else's expectations, and start building a life that actually feels like ours again.

Kim makes sure this experience is executed with intention, so what you feel on the page is what you receive at your door.
With 38 years of customer-focused experience, I serve as a Director of Customer Experience dedicated to designing thoughtful, personalized journeys that truly make people feel seen and supported.
My career began in wedding planning, where for nearly four decades I've guided clients through some of the most meaningful moments of their lives, and today I also serve as an Event Operations Manager, creating seamless, one-of-a-kind experiences from beginning to end. My passion has always centered around anticipating needs, elevating details, and delivering care at every touchpoint.
Personally, I began navigating peri-menopause at 45 and started GLP-1 support in 2024 to help manage symptoms, giving me firsthand understanding of the physical and emotional shifts women experience. That combination of professional expertise and personal journey allows me to connect deeply with women in this moment of life and bring empathy, intention, and excellence to the Becoming Box community.
Aging is not for the weak. One day you wake up and realize that your youth is gone, but along with it, so go insecurity, haste, and the need to please… You learn to walk more slowly, but with greater certainty.
